Absolutely ridiculous how hard it is to use this app
The app is useful and displays a lot of helpful information in a clear way but id very poorly made internally and never loads properly. In fact, for the several months the app has been entirely non-functional.
The app rarely works.
App opens into a loading state and hangs there forever. When it did work, buses would frequently disappear, loading and switching routes was slow, and the app fundamentally offers no way to plan a trip.
This app doesn't work as it should. It takes a long time to load and has displayed incorrect times on various occasions. A couple times it has displayed an arrival time only to later refresh and say no times are available for my stop, which has made me late for class and work.
Cannot locate the nearest bus stop automatically and transloc was better. This is the dumb app to use
I appreciated the (admittedly older) version of the Nextbus app that would let you set a favorite stop for only one route. I haven't figured out a way to get this app to save as a favorite only one route at a favorite spot, e.g. only the NS route at Health Science Library as opposed to ALL routes that stop there. Also not a fan of how each route is only mapped out halfway based on their direction. I'll likely keep using the older app until it stops working.
