BuzzKill is privacy first. There are no ads, no trackers and no data ever leaves your device. Unlike pretty much every app on your phone and the Play Store it doesn't have access to the internet (you can check) so you can be sure that your data is safe.
Wear OS
BuzzKill has a companion app for Wear OS that allows you to trigger certain actions on the watch based on the rules that the phone triggers. For example you can create a rule in BuzzKill to trigger an alarm when you receive a certain notification. With the BuzzKill companion app, you can have the alarm show up on your watch too.
Accessibility Service API
BuzzKill includes an optional accessibility service that allows it automate certain actions on your device. For example you set BuzzKill to automatically tap a button in a notification. No data is collected and no data leaves the device. You do not need to enable the accessibility service unless you create a rule that uses it.
when it works it's great but often my custom vibration patterns just don't work
Usually works, but not always. Gmail notifications seem to escape now and then -- really irritating at night.
Well done app on every level
Buzzkill is easily the best app purchase I've ever made. It's allowed me to fix all of things that annoyed me most about using my phone. I use it to make Google Task notifications play an alarm. I use it to dismiss annoying Android system notifications for apps I trust. I use it to dismiss notifications from work after 10pm and to suppress the notification sound so I can actually sleep! Thank you for the great app Sam and for not jumping on the subscription bandwagon! I love this app!
All is really great and helpfull but for some reason while installed I do not get notifications from certain apps (messenger, WhatsApp) on my samsung fit2 - that happens only when I apply a rule in the app such as "sticky notification" including messenger and WhatsApp. It's a real shame it does not work together OTHERWISE AMAZING APP!!!
I love this app. It gives a ton of control over notifications and it's super easy to use. You don't need to be a programmer to set a few simple rules and make your phone less annoying!
Amazing App. I have a question though. For how long is the history is preserved before it gets deleted ?
Add option to filter notifications by ringer state
Add custom alert importance level setting to change which notifications can trigger custom alert rules
Improve alarm notification with more info and tap to open
Add explore suggestion to mute when screen is on
