Using the advance, camera-based modes, you can register a race participant and the app will keep track of the lap times each time they pass by the camera, automatically. Track up to 4 colors or participants with one phone! Great for athletes, coaches, RC vehicles and more!

wonderful app ..easy and clear.. I just suggest upgrading no. of Racers and assigned colors to more than 4 we are having around 12 cars with different color codes.. another idea to have a Realtime export feature where you can use it for other presentations such as video streaming ..
Great for what it does and quite reliable. Just needs some UI work and some additional features and it will be 5 stars easily. A speed trap for example could be awesome. Otherwise great app, my friends and I have been using it for our slot car racing and it is epic!
None of these apps give you set up instructions or even suggestions on ideal placement etc. And very fussy on light. I'm using a crude bridge type structure for now that I straddle the phone on over my 2 lane ho slot track.
Limited use so far, but excellent. Downside....not very intuitive. Found a few tutorials but bite-sized ones from developer would be good. Thanks for the app.
I use lapTrax for my personal r/c race circuit. It is a good way to keep informed of lap times as well as lap counter. It will ring bells on the last lap if you set a number of laps to attain. That I find very nice , and you can run multiple cars if they are different colors from each other. You can also have it take action shots while you race by the Finnish line. I am working on a better setup for holding devices so I get better results with multiple cars . It's a really good start for price
Everything is easy to set up, even without instructions, except when selecting Motion Mode, unless I’m wrong, seems like only used for one car. I don’t know how to add second racer, and select the 2nd racer’s camera exposure.
Added this today, colour mode in low light doesn't work very well,as you would expect,,,,,,in a well lite room amazing, worked it out and it is ace and free , as long as you spend time setting it up amazing job. Recommended , to ad to your fun,,.the start lights are great. Just need to build a rig to hold phone above track about 12inchs high seemed to work the best 👍thank you
