Not Happy! Downloaded this app to watch an NBA playoff game. As soon as I logged I'm I was prompted to join the ESPN+ subscription service, so I did. I paid for the subscription, thinking it would allow me to watch the game. Yeah, NO. Turns out ESPN and ESPN+ are completely separate and different subscriptions and programs. Why don't they just call the app ESPN+ if that's the subscription they're selling you? I never did get to watch that game, and now I'm out $10.
This app stinks. I have many gripes about it, but the biggest is the video player never works on the first try, the player cuts out follow the advert and I have to refresh (at least once) and watch another ad before finally seeing the video. I'm convinced that this is purposeful, so ESPN can increase ad revenue.
The app is just good. When alerts arrive on my phone and I select the alert headline I am not taken to the article referenced in the alerts. This is frustrating.
move a game to ESPN3 and then can't play video forever!!!
When trying to watch live on the app, it asks me to log in with my TV provider. Why would I need your app if I had a cable? Took my money, and I can't watch anything. I have a few streaming services, and yours by far the worst.
I'm paying for this service, yet when I try to watch a game, it tells me that the money I'm paying them isn't good enough, and that I need to pay a TV provider instead. I don't have a TV provider. Why the f--- do you think I'm paying you???? This "service" is absolutely, completely, 100% f---ing worthless. Don't waste your money on this scam.
