Another very disappointed person. Fabulous content, but the player is just hopeless; it's hard to list all the things, there are too many, making it the single most unpleasant media player I've ever used. Sifting through the content is buggy, searching is zany, heaven knows what makes it decide you had a hit--and when you find something to listen to and add it to the queue, the list goes crazy and eventually you're all the back at the beginning of the long largely irrelevant list, and on and on.
all payment options fail. PayPal. credit cards. etc.
Echoing what others have said here - content is pretty good, but the app is really a complete dealbreaker. On a technical side - very laggy and slow on the UI, randomly stutters and pauses the audio all the time, loses my place when I return to it and I'm not convinced the "add to queue" ever worked for me. On the UX side it's better but not great - I wish there was a way to hide things I'm not interested in or have already listened to because half of my time is scrolling through repeats.
app is not really user friendly, doesn't keep track of what you've listened to or sort articles well. It's no Audm, and I was so hoping it was. The worst thing is that Google Play keeps telling me my payment declined for this and only this, and NO, it didn't. CURIO nor Google attempted to charge my card for some reason (my card was fine for my other Google subscr.) I'm guessing they want me to pay more than the offer I was given at sign up. Idk but unprofessional & annoying.
Five stars for the idea - I love listening to narrated articles and essays. One star for the app, which forgets who I am every time I open it and has some weird omissions. The most annoying is not being able to add items to the queue from the bookmarks page. The other is despite there being a section for short articles, there's no equivalent for long articles. Or a filter on the browse function would help. The only way to solve the problem of the app forgetting me is to re-subscribe each day.
Plagued with issues. Does not work with VPN and i have to login each time. The worst is that i realize i need to login after a minute of listening and an audio warning blasts. And logging in is problematic sometimes, google login doesn't work. Doesn't have continuous play, i have to browse and choose after each listening. Has an AI feature which serves as a search, but cannot pause, rewind or see what i listened to through this AI suggestions service...
Very costly. For rich people only means 10% of the higher ranking population. Not belong to you.

We've made some tweaks to make your app run smoothly. You'll now also be able to see the status of your downloads. We hope you enjoy it.
