Latest version was so clunky and slow I deleted it after years of the old one.
This app deserves a 0/5 rating! BBC has found a way to make its app from bad to worse! UI & UX sux balls! Where is that one button that streams BBC World Service radio at the masthead in the app of years past? Hapless users need to drill down past multiple links to get there! So damn user unfriendly! And wth do we to register & log in? Did the BBC fire its IT dept & outsource this turd of an app to some intern from a 3rd world tech backwater? Bring the old format back! I'll be deleting it again!
Great news. Unfortunately, a lot of the videos are "unavailable" to be play in the USA. 2nd review: Still the same 3rd review: is a great source of news. However, now some videos and images are "unavailable" to be play or show in the USA. And apparently BBC News don't give a ...., been this my 3 review thru the years.
This used to be a reliable user friendly app and then it turned black stodgy and impossible to use. Pushes video content at fore but most articles have black windows with the bbc logo rather than showing the photos they're meant to. Nothing is clickable/zoomable and it's chock full of ads now.. six lines half screen ad two lines black window five lines half screen ad.. look elsewhere
How do you disable autoplay videos? Can't find the setting under settings any more v8.0.2.1
BBC is one of my go-to news sources for its comprehensive coverage of global issues, providing essential perspectives for understanding the broader world. While it naturally caters to British interests, it remains a valuable resource. The only minor drawback is the advertising, which is almost inconsequential.
