EU: the Embrace smartband is a medical device of class IIa according to the directive 93/42/EEC, for patients with epilepsy or at risk of having epilepsy.
USA: Embrace is the first wrist-worn wearable cleared by the FDA in neurology. The Embrace is a prescription only device that is indicated for use as an adjunct to seizure monitoring of adults in home or healthcare facilities during periods of rest.

Love it, no way to know if it has ever been a life saver but it has done it's job. Have some problems with disconnecting even when phone if right next to me. Wish there was a FREE tier plan considering the cost of being epileptic is already so high.(No most insurance won't help) Having some way to charge and wear would be great. Maybe a separate thinner charger that can slide under the watch while wearing it. Or changeable rechargeable battery packs.
App disconnects if moving more than five feet away from the watch. Practically useless since this was meant to notify us of our son's seizures when we're in another room. This needs to be fixed! Would not recommend purchasing - it's an investment and has a ton of fault issues!
Works... Just wish it was cheaper considering someone with epilepsy has very high medical bills. And no my insurance doesn't support this.
Lots of troubles getting to customer service
Poor the app keeps disconnecting from the embrace watch. Basically not worth the time or stress. Had to logout and login countless times. Unpaired and repaired to no avail. Waste of time and money. Rather have a fit and recover from it when I awake as the watch and app cannot be trusted 😴
Constantly disconnecting even when the watch is right next to my phone.
Was decent when got it and since recent update constantly disconnects from phone. I thought was because had older phone but got newer one recently and it still disconnects so easily. I have phone next to the embrace and it disconnects constantly. Have to keep trying to connect it then disconnects again. Really loosing patience on it. Especially for what it's ment to do need to be connected more.
