A bit lumpy opening a new account, but nice app. Called Tech support, and they got me registered, app glitch. Once in, mobile data has to be turned off as well as NEC to connect to Wi-Fi. Then, once online, all is good. Informative, control, usage history. No problems. Hit copy in schedule to reproduce in other days of the week. Just have to work with it a little bit.
This app has some of the worst UX I've ever experienced. It's difficult to install and keep connected. When the app malfunctions and disconnects from the thermostat, it requires a call to customer service to fix. Something that should be a two-minute, user fix instead took three phone calls with customer service and 40 minutes. Fortunately, Paula in customer service was great. But this app is absolute garbage. Avoid buying a system that uses this thermostat/app combination.
Why do you need my address? My phone number my location my blood type just for a water heater? This is stupid 👿 I think they just made this app so they could sell your data.
wont connect
The app keeps disabling my water heater. I have a schedule set to run when I have solar energy generation and it is disabled when it is scheduled to run. Ugh! So frustrating!
It is a nice app. Could be better if it included usage of hot water in gallons and not just energy. Then I could see in comparison of total water usage from my city bill where my water is being used. Is ai coming to this app? or is there a way to detect heavy usage and have a set temp for heavy use. So I can keep it low until a shower dishes laundry - based on hot water usage selections, hot water demand ). If it heats to the desired temp in 2 minutes, that would work great.
You can't set up the device without precise GPS information. Approximate does not work. I'm not giving my water heater precise GPS information.
