Climate change is such a big problem that many people unfortunately think that their own behavior in everyday life has no impact on the climate. 

This is wrong. Everything we do causes CO2 emissions. What we eat, how we get around and what we buy. So every day we have the opportunity to make a difference if we know these impacts. But that shouldn't be based on doing without, it should be fun.

That's why we're rewarding the following modes of mobility that avoid CO2 and also make you healthier with Climate Coins:
- Walking
- Riding a bike
- Taking the bus and train

For every 5 kg of CO2 you avoid, you receive a valuable Climate Coin.  

CO2 savings always occur when you don't use the car. When you walk, cycle or use public transport. 

You can exchange your Climate Coin in the marketplace for vouchers, raffles and tree planting. Here you can discover new things and be motivated to lead a more sustainable lifestyle with more exercise and climate-friendly consumption.

Battery performance
The Changers Japan app works very battery-saving. Nevertheless, the consumption is higher when the GPS function is switched on than during normal operation of the smartphone.

Data protection
The software is of course GDPR compliant. The data is hosted in Germany. The necessary energy comes to 100% from renewable sources. In addition, because of working with major German corporations Changers Japan has included the requirements of the company and unions already during the development of the product. This includes anonymous participation without clear names and corporate email, or that we don’t share our users data with third parties. Users of course can always delete their account and all their data.
