I really like it, works great for me and I appreciate that it's a one time payment rather than a sub like a lot of other fitness apps. Edit: in my original review i complained that there is a lack of female programs. Apparently there is no female phase 2 and 3 in the original program. No fault of the app so my rating has been updated.
Makes warm-up weights and plate selection super easy, plus rest time between sets, plus tracks progress over time, and you can refresh your form on each exercise by reading the book during your rest time. Simply Brilliant
It is super simple and easy to use and understand
Since starting the program I have knocked 3 minutes off my mile pace from 11 mins mile to 9 minutes per mile. I can't rate this app enough. Couple of bugs early days but the starting strength creew have been tremendous help 👏 🙏
Incredibly buggy and poorly coded. The functionality seems good but the app constantly hangs up, won't save save the workout when I submit, launches into the wrong workout, and a number of other issues. Not worth the hassle. Much better free options out there.
Great app. Takes a little learning, but the basic functionality is a game changer for making it really easy to stick to a workout routine. Instructional videos are great. So nice to have the weights all figured out for me and to be able to effortlessly track progress.
Somewhat functional, but bugged. All I want is to go into the app and have it figure out that since I did the press last time, I need to do the bench today. Instead I have to manually set the second exercise every time. It's also as other reviewers have noted, slow and occasionally unresponsive. Data storage should be local first, not cloud first, and the app should opportunistically sync. Second star for functioning well enough as a weight calculator.
