great to use, easy counting calories
This app is amazing in helping to control my type 2 diabetes. Absolutely revolutionised my way of thinking and given me motivation in contolljng my blood sugars!
I have the book and was hoping this would be free for that reason. I can't afford to pay what you want, but need to understand type 2 diabetes as I've only recently been diagnosed. Having the app would save me having to carry the book around with me all the time, which wouldn't be easy as I have to use crutches because of oesteoarthritis and very poor mobility
I'm going to compare this app to Nutracheck which I have been using for the last 12 months. Carbs & cals is good in principle especially seeing the portion size on a plate, however the food database is lacking a lot. Very often I search for a food or scan the barcode to find the food is not available, whereas Nutracheck has it every time. Carbs and Cals is missing some key restaurant chains such as premier inn group restaurants, again Nutracheck wins here too. Nutracheck is cheaper also.
Great app! As a type 1 diabetic, this app made life 10 times easier.
This app was really good when it first came out and was really helpful with having to carb count, but now you need to subscribe and half the time the things I eat I can't look up the carbs because you need to subscribe to it and it is pretty expensive for what it is. So, unfortunately, this app is now very disappointing and useless for me!
