Presented by Cracking The Cryptic, the most popular Sudoku channel, comes a new game based on our most requested variant: Killer Sudoku.
In Killer Sudoku, every puzzle features cages that tell you the sum of the numbers inside. This extra information leads to beautiful logic that you will master as you progress through our handmade puzzles. The puzzles in Killer Sudoku are created by Simon and Mark as well as a large number of guest creators. Fans of Cracking the Cryptic's channel will recognize many of these authors as some of the most talented creators working today!
As with our other games (‘Classic Sudoku’, ‘Sandwich Sudoku’, ‘Chess Sudoku’, 'Thermo Sudoku' and 'Miracle Sudoku'), Simon Anthony and Mark Goodliffe (the hosts of Cracking The Cryptic) have written all the hints for the puzzles. So you know that every puzzle has been play-tested by a human being to ensure that each sudoku is interesting and fun to solve.
In Cracking The Cryptic’s games, players start with zero stars and earn stars by solving puzzles. The more puzzles you solve, the more stars you earn and the more puzzles you get to play. Only the most dedicated (and cleverest) sudoku players will finish all the puzzles. Of course the difficulty is carefully calibrated to ensure lots of puzzles at every level (from easy through to extreme). Anyone familiar with their channel will know that Simon and Mark take pride in teaching viewers to be better solvers and, in these games, they always craft the puzzles with the mindset of trying to help solvers improve their skills.
Mark and Simon have both represented the UK many times at the World Sudoku Championship and you can find more of their puzzles (and lots of others) on the internet’s biggest sudoku channel Cracking The Cryptic.

I really love this app but I am someone who needs hints and the hints don't always explain how to get from a to b so it often reads like it's telling you point a and then point d. Like one hint is the minimum value in 6 different digits is 21 so this cell must be 1 - but it doesn't actually explain why I care about the minimum value (why not maximum value???) And why that cell must be 1 and not literally any other number. (And that's starting from a blank grid). Just more explicit hints please
I put 4 stars instead of 5 for one reason only: battery draining. I have bought all the apps and the sudokus are awesome. I spend a lot of idle time on them and they are totally worth it. Unfortunately, all the apps drain the battery a lot, so it is very inconvenient when you don't have a charger/power bank. There might be some looping or something running constantly in the background. I suggest to find a battery optimization strategy. A sudoku app should not drain that much battery :)
I genuinely loved this app, and was in the middle of playing through the puzzles a second time (after enough time had passed that of mainly forgotten the details) and then the GUI changed and I find that I just can't get used to the changes. It also feels like every action takes a split-second longer to register (new animations? a pause? don't know). And in a game with a timer, that's a bad deal. I'm sad to say, I'm not sure I'll be playing this again. If you start fresh here, it will be fine.
Used to love this gam,e and all their apps, for years, unfortunately I can't stand the new interface layout. I find it really strange looking and I've lost all the muscle memory of years of using these apps. would love an option to go back to how it used to be. Really disappointed.
Great puzzles. Not a fan of the new UI, I'd like an option to use the UI from before the update.
Great app, PLEASE ALLOW US TO CHOOSE THE OLD UI AGAIN. It's a 5 star app, latest UI changes without the option to choose the old UI make it a 3 star. Puzzles are awesome and clues are great if you get stuck.
fixed an issue causing the app to crash on the newest version of Android
