Hexxagon is an abstract strategy board game that involves play by two parties on a hexagonal grid. The object of the game is to make your pieces constitute a majority of the pieces on the board at the end of the game, by converting as many of your opponent's pieces as possible.
Hexxagon is based on an early 90's game.
GAMEPLAY
The goal is to cover as many spaces of the board with your color as possible. This is done by moving, jumping, and converting your opponents peices.
MOVEMENT
When it is your turn to move, simply select the piece that you wish to move by clicking on it. Once the piece is selected, touch an empty space on the board you want to move to. A player must make a move if one is available.
It is possible to move one space in any direction or jump two spaces in any direction as long as the the destination is empty.
- If you move 1 space, you clone the piece.
- If you jump 2 spaces, you move the piece.
CAPTURE
After a player captures an empty space by either moving or jumping, any of the opponents pieces that are adjacent to that new location will also be captured.
WINNING
The game ends when there are no empty spaces or when one player cannot move.
If a player cannot move, the remaining empty spaces are captured by the other player and the game ends. The player with the majority of pieces on the board wins.
SCORING
You get 1 point for each piece you have occupied when the game ends. If you improved on your highest score for the current level, your new score will be displayed.
You get 100 points (200 points for boss levels) if you own all the pieces on the board when the game ends, regardless of how big the board is.
I've been playing this game for months. The people who can't get past the early levels are just not understanding the game mechanics. It's a puzzle that has multiple right answers. I'm currently stuck on 280.

Was really enjoying the game until level 11 when I kept getting stomped by the computer. I'm just bad, so that's not a problem, but what is a problem is limited lives. I'm not likely to ever buy extra lives, and they regenerate at an abysmally slow rate, so I'm just not going to play the game. I'll go play something that actually wants to be played.
Multi-player mode is ok. AI just makes random moves, so it doesn't make any sence to play on single player mode
Good game, but there's no paid version. I have to buy lives or watch a video. Will uninstall and find another version that isn't a scam. Please offer paid version. I would pay a few bucks for no ads/MTA
Cool
Great game, brings back a classic from 90s DOS PC gaming. My one gripe is the drastic spike in difficulty at level 280. The game is almost too easy up to that point and then suddenly takes a turn towards impossibly difficult. I don't mind the increased difficulty, but it should be more gradual and it would be nice to be able to play all levels on various difficulties.
