Alerts for Reddit allows you to receive phone notifications for hot new posts on your favorite subreddits and by your favorite users. For subreddit tracking, you can see all new posts on a subreddit, or hot posts that quickly rose to the top. For user tracking, you can get notifications for new posts and/or comments by any public user on Reddit. For both, you can use keywords to limit exactly which notifications you want to see.
Features:
- Add/remove subreddits or users at any time to start/stop seeing notifications
- Limit notifications by keywords, so you only see the alerts you care about
- No need to link your reddit account - you can subscribe for notifications to any public subreddit or user
- Add up to 3 notification subscriptions of your choosing for free; upgrade to Premium to receive notifications for more than 3.
- Set the notification frequency for subreddits: "Low" if you only want breaking news, "High" if you want notifications for all hot posts, or "All" to get notified for all new posts.
- Set the notification frequency for each user: "Posts only" or "Posts and Comments"
- Got a Reddit app on your phone? Notifications will launch you straight to the app. No app? Notifications will bring you to Reddit via the browser.
- Never miss the posts you care about!
This app worked well and gave me synchronous notifications for people I wanted to keep updated with!
Notifications either dont come through or take forever. They have audacity to push you into a MONTHLY subscription to get faster notifications. Maybe if it was a one-time purchase, I would upgrade, but this is a scam. Get "Notify For Reddit" instead. That app actually works and is free (outside of data collection, which this app also does). If you really want to get slick. Have an AI help you make an app for this function. It's really not complicated.
App works as expected and pretty well at that. I had a few instances where a notification came in a few minutes late but that may have been due to some power saving on my phone. definitely worth the cheap subscription if you need immediate notifications. Disabling battery optimization and having the phone charging helps.
Great app. Only issue is that for the last few days I've been recording 4 identical notifications for each new post.
The subscriptions disappear after you've added them. Been like this for months. Means you can't edit them. UPDATE: dev has been in touch and is very responsive, adding a star and working with dev to resolve issue - nice one dev 👍🏻
I'm not kidding the app doesn't even open on my phone. It keeps loading on the home screen.
Very useful. Excellent support
