Aviation Supplies & Academics (ASA, Inc.) has built a reputation for providing the aviation community with the most accurate and reliable FAR/AIM products available. Hasn't been updated for 2024, how can I trust it
I like the layout and the hyperlinks. Unfortunately the rarity of the highlight function actually working makes this app unusable for study and checkride prep.
Doesn't have up to date information The app states it checks for updates of information daily. AIM 7-1-6 is what made me notice this. The chapter updated in the FAA register in April of this year, this app still hasn't updated as of this review.
Fantastic
Really good app! Way easier than lugging around the large version. Also way easier to navigate than the eCFR
The Highlight feature is very rudimentary, one leading paragraph character only. There is no Bookmark feature. No Annotation feature. This seems like a quick and dirty feature starved version of the ios cousin for iPad. A raw PDF would be more useful. I could then at least mark up (annotate), and highlight in Samsung Notes, and bookmark in Okular.
All links are broken, and ASA shows no sense of urgency over getting it fixed. I've been asking for some time. The most recent word from Support is, "There is still no update at the moment, this bug will be fixed in the next update, we just do not have a time frame on when that will be." C'mon, guys. This isn't hard!
