Hola! We are an Irish couple (Jane and Brian) living in Spain and learning Spanish. We started Ella Verbs as we were looking for a way to improve our Spanish verbs and make the jump from intermediate to advanced Spanish speakers. We tried many ways to improve our Spanish grammar (books, apps, tutors – you name it, we tried it!), but never found the one that clicked. So we built it!
We aren’t your typical Spanish flashcards or verb trainer app. Our philosophy is “learn, quiz, repeat”. We teach you, then quiz you and then surface content again when you need it most. It’s been proven that quizzing helps with concentration, identifying gaps in knowledge and long term retention (Roediger & Karpicke, 2006). Because it's just the two of us, we personally read and respond to every feedback email and review. So if you have an idea, issue, question or whatever, please get in touch! A lovely, lovely app that is very reasonably priced. As a bilingual learner (someone who grew up hearing lots of Spanish but isn't necessarily fluent), conjugation has really held me back. It's been really tough to commit to sitting down and filling out conjugation tables (and personally, I can't learn conjugation just through conversation). I feel like this app is really going to help me meet my goals and close the gaps I have in my Spanish. Thank you so much!!

I stopped paying when the prices nearly doubled. There's a lot that needs to be improved with this app, and I don't think it's worth the cost it's at yet. I was actually creating a list of shortcomings for the app (in a polite way) for the creators to help them out, however it's now too expensive for me so I won't bother sending it. I appreciate there's a free version available but it doesn't morally feel right.
I love the app and they have an option for like me who can't afford which is the give back program.
