Trying to download the audio results in an error.
The audio for the Portuguese will not download and there's just a spinning widget when i click on "help". I don't want to have to be online all the time to use the app.
Terrible interface, no option to rewind or fast forward through segments. The download button doesn't work and nor does the help although I suspect this terrible app is beyond help.
The app is cool, but my interest is only one book. I want to choose it in settings and always have it started at my choice.
Started badly and didn't improve. The download didn't work. It's a known problem but no solution has been provided. I clicked Help, that just whirled away doing absolutely nothing. The app is a series of sounds showing how words should be spoken. There is pause button dangerously close to the replay (from the beginning) button. There is no button to rewind a little. With no assessment of your ability to pronounce words correctly the app is inferior to other free apps.
Ive been listenning to this audio as i learn portuguese. There several people pronouncing these words and sentences. They are ok. However not all pronounce in the same way. Actually there is difference in the way people speak portuguese in the north and south of portugal, and there is a marked differencee in other countries like Brazil. I would advise learners to also consult the book on pronunciation in the book pg 9 ff and see what Maria Allen teaches. Attention must also be paid to stress .
The app is marginally functional for language learning. The "download" function does not work. Ideally, I would want to download the audio files to mp3 so I can listen to them in my car.
