CatholicMatch -- Faith Focused Dating for Catholics
You want to marry someone who shares your faith. But you’re not finding anyone.
That’s where we come in.
Helping single Catholics meet is the reason we exist.
Over 1.5 million people have signed up for CatholicMatch, and they’re looking for sacramental marriage. Thanks to our focus on community and faith resources, not only do our members meet other singles for faith-focused dating, but many come away from CatholicMatch with lifelong benefits: an increased knowledge of their faith and new Catholic friends for years to come.
Technology keeps giving us new ways to connect, and CatholicMatch has been at the forefront of this expansion for the past twenty years. While we’ll never know the exact number, based on what we do know, thousands and likely tens of thousands of sacramental marriages have started on CatholicMatch
There are many dating apps out there, and while they may share common features, too many times the experiences are wildly different. We want your dating experience on CatholicMatch to be dependable and useful. So, we place a priority on dating with the goal of sacramental marriage, not just dating to date. Additionally, we try to provide an experience that not only encourages purposeful dating, but also promotes values like respect, charity and compassion.
In addition, our customer service team is dedicated to accompanying our members in every way possible. They not only provide answers to questions and concerns in a timely manner, they also review all photos and profiles uploaded on the site. Plus, they complement our automated security by manually reviewing questionable accounts and behaviors. Although there is no perfect system, providing a safe and enjoyable experience is one of our top customer service priorities.
This app seems anti-Catholic and anti-natalist since you have to pay exorbitant amounts of money to message even for the first time. I'd be curious to learn more about who set up this app in the first place. When the review process asked me to confirm that the app has messaging, I tapped 'no', since it is a premium feature. This app is extorting and taking advantage of the crises the Church faces, particularly young, conservative Catholics.
I have downloaded the apps but unfortunately they are telling me the service isn't available in my location...Iam a Catholic from Nigeria and I don't understand why I can't get access to the apps. Are we Nigerians barred from using this apps ?
There are many profiles on this app but very few seem active. Either the women find someone and forget to remove their account, or they forget they have this app, or worse these profiles are fakes. You can reach out to 50+ profiles and only a couple get back to you. If these accounts are truly active, most of these women don't have the decency to respond and say they're not interested.
Here are my thoughts so far on the app and website as well. You can't message anyone without paying, and if someone does, message you. You have to wait 9 days before you can even respond. I don't mind that I can't see who liked me, but I wish the messaging would be free for a mutual match. Given the goal is to get catholics matched with other catholics, I would assume you'd make even the most basic things free. Tinder, Hinge, etc. allow for free messaging between mutual matches.
You can't initiate contact with others unless one of the two in the party has bought subscription
I can't get passed uploading my profile picture. It uploads but ask for more photos but the screen freezes and does nothing can't go forward or back?
