The Freading (free reading) Ebook Service was developed by Library Ideas, LLC and is sold to libraries of all types around the world. End users are registered cardholders of participating libraries. Check with your local library for participation.
The end user should use their browser to navigate the library website, then download the book from a library website into this application. Once in the application, the EPUB or PDF book can be explored and read.
The Freading application is designed to lend full support for Adobe DRM and uses Adobe ID for Authentication.
The Freading application includes many features that you would expect for a good reading experience such as tap or swipe to turn pages, remembering the last page read, and selectable text size.

I sincerely wish I could do negative stars. This is literally the worst ebook app on the market today and I have no idea how they are still in business. I am a librarian and I frequently use Libby, Hoopla, and CloudLibrary which all have their strengths and weaknesses but are overall very good. Freading only has weaknesses. It does not load correctly. It says its files are too big to read on a mobile device when I am on my computer. Unless you love being frustrated DO NOT USE FREADING.
Doesn't work anymore. Used to work on my Android tablet and phone, albeit glitchy, but worked. Last month or so it crashes every time I try to open a book. Maybe just an Android problem, I don't know. Tried all the recommended fixes, but app is dead in the water.
Unusable, crashes on launch.
Long signup process, forces you to get an adobe id that is VERY intrusive and it still does not work
Poor quality software. Doesn't support enough mainstream Android devices. Unable to activate on my Huawei tablet - app goes into an endless loop and doesn't allow me to click Accept on the activation terms. Utterly useless.
