Fuelling with the Esso App is as easy as 1-2-3!
1. Select your pump
2. Approve your payment
3. Start fuelling when prompted.
Here’s a few things you should know about the app:
• Pay for petrol or diesel at participating Esso branded stations with PayPal or Apple Pay for quick and secure payment
• New! From 1 June you will be able to collect Nectar points on your transactions (without the need to carry your Nectar card)
• As an additional incentive, from 1 June you can collect 1000 bonus Nectar points. Collect 250 bonus Nectar points after your first fill of 30 litres or more using the app, another 250 bonus points the second time and an extra 500 points on your third fill.
• We suggest setting me up at home before you arrive at the station so you’re all ready to go!
• The app will ask you to select the maximum amount you’d like to fuel. This value will be reserved in your account until your bank can see how much you’ve actually fuelled
• You can choose a maximum amount of fuel between £5 and £140 to reduce the value reserved in your account.
• All your digital receipts are stored in one convenient location and emailed to you
• Find your nearest Esso petrol station
We’re still rolling out the Esso App to all of our sites across the UK as quick as we can, so if your local site doesn’t have it just yet, it will soon! You can check the app’s Esso station locator to find a mobile enabled site near you.

When it worked it was fine. Now I can't even log in. I've tried reinstalling the app and resetting my password but to no avail. All I keep getting is 'the app is temporarily unavailable please try again later.'
Slow. By the time the app had recognised that I had finished fueling, I could have paid for my fuel and been halfway home instead of standing on the forecourt staring at my phone. Even longer is the wait to get your money back from the amount ring fenced before you fuel up (added - 2 days)
I have just installed this app and I am trying to set up my profile but when clicking on set first and last name / notifications - nothing happens so my profile is only 60% complete?????
OK could be better easy...as can be glitchy sometimes when using offers..and also log in and out could be easier
At the moment this app is not very useful to me, I have an Esso fuel card, it would be useful if I could add this card for payment instead of a debit card
