Vet Helpline by Nationwide is your trusted resource for 24/7 expert veterinary advice. Our experienced veterinary professionals are here to provide guidance on any pet-related topic, from general questions to identifying urgent care needs via chat or phone. The Vet Helpline is staffed by experienced veterinary professionals and includes access to experts specially trained in veterinary toxicology, including veterinarians who are board-certified in internal medicine (DACVIM), emergency and critical care (DACVECC), and toxicology (DABVT, DABT).
Clunky interface and totally worthless advice. A total waste of space. Like so many other 'help line' services 99.9 % of the responses will be to go see your veterinarian. They are unable to offer any real advice out of fear of liability and litigation but to pretend this is useful is laughable. I'll save you the trouble - "go to your vet" - no matter what the problem is - go see your vet. Oh and there is nobody willing to discuss toxicology - only "go see your vet"
My dog got into candy after hours. My choice was go through emergency, wait and hope, or try this service that came with their insurance. It was a bit of a pain to set up (- 1 star) and I would have preferred a phone number. But, once I got the app installed and my Nationwide account set up it was easy enough to chat with someone. Very fast and efficient. I have been impressed with the follow-up making sure my dog was doing well. Great service, app could be a little more intuitive .
Asks me to login using my Nationwide credentials, then I am prompted to choose my email address so I can be sent a temporary access code.... That never comes. So this app is completely useless. I also don't really understand the point of this service. I signed in through the website and asked for recommendations on a probiotic and preventive for heartworm/flea/tick medication and was told they cannot prescribe or recommend anything by brand name???? What exactly does this service provide???
295.7BILLION DOLLARS YOU ARE WORTH and 29 BILLION DOLLARS A year you profit off of US.. yet this company has yet to fix this app. Us pet owners are extremely particular and caring when it comes to our furry family members. It's 2022(almost2023), and 70% of companies have apps. Therefore this is almost a must in today's world(when speaking on apps and importance)... what is the reason for these technicall issues? And why are they still issues for EVERYONE?
Does not work. Pet is already enrolled and it directs to the website which directs you back to the app.
Login does not work, error message points to a useless FAQ page that blames the user.
Can't type in chat as the box never opens on Android, glitchy app
