Synopsis

This is an ancient Chinese tale
A white snake spirit, helped by a kindhearted young man, vows to repay him for his kindness
By enduring long and demanding training, the White Snake gains strong magical powers. She takes human form to find the young man
On the way, she helps out a Green Snake, who in turn chooses to accompany her.
Will she be able to find the young man and repay him for his kindness…?

Sher real name is Bai Suzhen.
To repay a young man for helping her, she gains strong magical powers after 1000 years of training

Xiao Qing
A green snake spirit. (Various theories exist. Might even be a fish spirit)
Decides to devote herself to serving Bai Niang, who saves her life

Xu Xian
A kindhearted young human man.
The reincarnation of the young man who helped Bai Niang

A human Buddhist priest
He considers spirits to be absolutely evil
When he comes in contact with magical powers,he gets hives and becomes itchy
