Recent update killed it
I have lived Dropbox for years. When i created documents and filed them in a folder on my laptop they appeared in identical folders on my iphone. Perfect. But new update killed that capability. I spent 6 hours with my firms tech and he couldn’t make Dropbox do what it so seamlessly used to do. No way to speak with anyone at Dropbox, but my tech support guy and I tried chat. After an hour we were finally told that the recent update ended the ability to automatically download files i create on laptop and to then see them in the Dropbox app on my phone. Dropbox is no longer of any value to me other than providing general backups in case of emergencies - same thing as icloud or backing up with an external hard drive. Sorry to have to drop dropbox. UPDATE: Developer responded that i should contact them on Twitter. I did that a month ago. No response. What good is that. Why not try a telephone? Lowering rating to 1 star. No customer support.
Terrifying
Wow. Thanks everyone for the warnings. Deleting the app now.
My briefcase
I use my iPad for making, editing, and captioning photos. I use those photos in articles I write on my PC. Dropbox is my briefcase, and I love it!
Terrible
Honestly, terrible. Aren’t you suppose to be able to use this to DROP things in to save? How can I not “drop” a single thing in it? Useless application. I’m sure others are having the simplest time. Will not recommend. Greedy company.

Please fix
I had to delete the program to release over 5gb of stored data, and no files were being stored offline. Upon reinstalling the camera uploading want to re-backup every photo, and the start date for new photos isn’t adjustable. I need to start updating not just from a week ago, but also some videos over 5gb on the phone that won’t upload. Things to fix… 1. Allow for new photo upload date to be editable, or fix where photo scan knows what’s been backed up already. 2. Allow for large videos to backup from other devices like GoPro. 3. Add ability to switch on or off backing up the edited or unedited files, currently if a file has been edited your app backups up both files labeled as “file-1”. 4. Improve battery drain. 5. Fix caching issue Using latest iPhone with current updates app. 6. Stop being lazy on update description and give description of what is being updated.
Lost my account
Can’t log into my account that has my kids photos from when they were younger because yahoo got rid of my account for not using it enough and now I have no way to verify my email with Dropbox. I’m sad, I wish Dropbox would help me recover those photos.
