What the heck
I just got notified via email that Google domains merged with Squarespace. I wasn't thrilled but wasn't mad as I found this app and got mildly excited hoping I could FINALLY edit my website from my phone since my laptop died and I haven't been able to replace it yet. I log in and am prompted to subscribe to one of their monthly payments so I can keep using my domain name. I do so begrudgingly as Google domain was previously free which is why I chose it in the first place. Then after PAYING $26 for the month so I can have access to my site, I'm being given an error: "Unable to Load Data". What?? I just checked my site and it's still up and active, but idk why I just paid for a subscription I can't even use. Such a waste.

This app is supposed to help you create beautiful, easy to use sites, but the app is far from beautiful or easy to use. The workflow is abrasive and transitioning the fill-in content or editing the layout is convoluted. But you can edit the button shapes easily… My review reset as I was attempting to list the bugs, inconsistencies, and obstacles in architecture I’ve noticed in my couple of hours of use. There are that many.

Can’t actually edit my website via the app on the phone. iPad, sure, but not the phone. You can click “edit”, and even tap on the sections, but no editing boxes/panes/etc ever show up.

This newest update took the feature away to quickly copy and paste the customers email address in the mobile app. I do not use iCloud email to contact my customers. Please change this back. It is so frustrating to copy the customers email now…..

Poorly designed mobile UI/UX makes it impossible to use the app to make changes to your website. Limited editing options compared to desktop, poor layouts that don’t render on mobile, constant crashes, etc.

What did you do to the app? I have tried everything that the Customer service rep has recommended and none of them worked… I would like to upload photos to my blog… I too miss the Carousal option… Instead of building on the great options you already provided, you took everything away that made it Amazing… I can no longer recommend Squarespace. Until These problems are fixed in the App… It was so much easier to use in the app, for which it is used.
