I love this app. Treasure trove of ideas
I love it but please help!
I very much love pinterest! I have had it for years now and nearly use it everyday. But for some reason lately my pins I've saved keep getting deactivated but I don't know how to fix it. Sometimes it says its adult content, like suicide. But I don't have any suicidal pins. Is there a way to make it a adult account like on YouTube so I don't keep getting pins taken away? Please help me! You can email me back. Thank you for your time
Stop punishing users for pins they did not post.
Ridiculous. Stop using AI to ban pins and users at random when they have done literally NOTHING.
Did they add more ads??
Every two pins there will be 3-5 ads and it absolutely ridiculous. I can barely use pinterest anymore cause it’s all just ads. There are more ads than there are pins!!
What is UP with the constant “we’ve removed one of your pins” e-mails???
This really is one of my favorite apps. I’ve been using it for years because it’s helped me organize my thoughts and ideas in such a creative way that other apps just don’t allow for. But, God. I’ve been getting borderline CONSTANT pin removal and “community guidelines violation” emails, one after another, every single day, for WEEKS. I can’t even view the pins they remove for these supposed “violations”. How am I (or anyone else, for that matter, because I know this is such a frustratingly common issue,) expected to go through thousands of pins and remove the content I’m being bombarded with emails for… if the one time links to the pins DON’T EVEN WORK? I’ve loved this app for years, but I’m seriously considering leaving permanently. Or, at least until this issue is addressed. It is so hard to relax on Pinterest anymore when I’m constantly thinking about the five emails I’m probably going to get later for pinning something completely appropriate for the website. It is not only incredibly frustrating, but directly working against the creative audience Pinterest claims to cater to. This isn’t a new issue. Re-evaluate how you moderate specific content, or change your age requirements—I don’t know. Just do something other than create another useless update that’s only going to last a few weeks anyways cause, seriously, the updates with this app are so inconsistent.

Love Pinterest but can’t enjoy the site anymore because ads keep blocking my view and jumping up at the wrong time. Gave a 4 but will lower it if ads stay out of control.
More of a shopping app rather than a source of inspiration
Update 04/18/24: Results generated from search are 99% products or ads at least when it comes to clothing. I used to find inspiration in outfits but I can’t find them now. Updated 10/28/20: I’d forgotten I’ve already written critical reviews of this app, I guess I’ve been unsatisfied for a while but continue to use this platform. After this recent annoyance I wonder how much more time I’ll spend there. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to generate relevant results. Today’s search was painfully unsatisfactory. I’m revamping my small living room and in the past it was Pinterest to the rescue; the site would have displayed pin after pin of blog posts and articles of how to style small living rooms and other spaces. Today, 95% of the results are pins from home decor websites (ie ads) and these pins are only relevant in that they display furniture—but not even pieces specific to small space decorating, just the same old generic “on trend” stuff over and over again. This is not hyperbole, it was literally almost all ads! I clicked on one pin and after some scrolling I gave up. I GAVE UP, PINTEREST. UGH. Updated 4/11/17: The latest update to the app where the pinner and board information for each pin has been removed is one of the most ill-advised, mind-boggling stupid changes to an app I've ever seen. Many other users have left reviews about these recent changes so I don't feel I need to repeat what has been said, nor do I have the energy to do so. I will, though, wonder aloud what is driving such a drastic change besides the obvious desire streamline the design. The only thing I can think of is that Pinterest is trying to hide the fact that some of the pins are sponsored (ads) and that they plan to increase the number of sponsored posts you'll see. So, not only do the pins you see on your homepage have less context, most of them won't be from people you follow. ............ I love Pinterest but some recent changes annoy me. Adding a new pin is buried under your profile which doesn't make sense and took me forever to find. And I hate promoted pins! I understand the need to generate revenue but at the very least show me content I might be interested in. The promoted pins I see have nothing to do with anything I've ever pinned and are of zero interest to me. Coupled with the plethora of recommended pins that are also often way off base, browsing the site is less enjoyable than it once was. App doesn't always display pins, only blank tiles. Reloading or reinstalling doesn't always fix this issue.
