Compare today's weather to yesterday's in a single, friendly sentence. Yesterday's Weather is a "first principles" weather app. What do you really want to know when you open your weather app? What's the most effective way to convey that information? We use a light algorithm to weight the impact of different weather conditions, and we summarize the important details in one sentence.
Perfect. now bloat it plz
The one sentence format is perfect. “Today, it feels 11 degrees colder than yesterday and it’s less cloudy.” 5 stars. Perfect. This is how weather stations talk. This is how humans talk. Perfect. Ok, give that to me fast every day. Specifically, a widget for the widget screen. Or a notification. I want some bloatware with my weather apps, particularly if they’re monetized. Options for notifications, etc. An email would arguably even better. It’s useful but it’s gonna get lost in the shuffle. I want to give it a more permanent place on my widget page. The pure minimalist app can still be available to those who need it even if you add in some bloat. I also see a “currently” option where the one sentence changes to what it feels like at this second. But what if I haven’t had coffee and I forgot what it’s gonna do all day? It’d be nice if a second sentence loaded the second time you opened the app or something like that. The “currently” could even stay on top and push the “overall, today” sentence down. Cool tho! Thanks I was def looking for something like this.
- Updated forecast sentence on the main screen now includes current/high/low temps and precipitation! - Main weather sentence now factors in humidity changes - Main weather sentence now factors in cloud cover difference - Forecasted comparisons were removed (they aren't very useful!)
