** Featured by Apple, New York Times, Wired, Fast Company, and more! ** Weathertron is a live infographic of the entire day’s weather. See exactly what to expect from every hour of the day — clouds, rain, snow, and temps — on one screen. Unlike most apps, it's powered by 16 different weather data sources, statistically aggregated and weighted, so you always have the most accurate results for your location. Quickly tell if you should wear a sweater this morning, or if your softball game will be rained out tonight. Weathertron makes it dead simple to plan your whole day around the weather. "Super-Smart Weather App" -- Wired Magazine "Just the right balance of beauty and functionality. [Our] new favorite weather app." -- ZDNet "Weathertron is one of the best weather apps I've used on my iPhone." -- TUAW "So impressed by how good the Weathertron UI is. Everything you want to see at a glance. Very Tufte." -- Ryan Singer, 37Signals Features: — Unique 24-hour weather visualizations for today and tomorrow — 7-day forecast visual report and narrative summary — Weather forecasts for over 15,000 cities around the world — Advanced aggregated data using 16 different weather models — Choose between Fahrenheit and Celsius and 12-hour or 24-hour time
Weathertron
It used to store my cities; recently they disappear every time I close the app and each time I open it I have lost my cities and have to start all over again with the “ getting started” info screens. Quite annoying.
Shame this has been abandoned.
This was a great app with a lot of information at a glance. With the forecast.io/dark sky APIs going away, this app will cease to function.
Keep it going!
Weathertron is awesome! I use it many times a day. It's amazing that it has kept working for 6 years without an update - but that won't last forever. KEMPER OR SOMEONE PLEASE PICK THIS APP UP AND KEEP IT ALIVE!!! And, if you can, add wind speed and direction.
Needs update
App is amazing, but often resets so need to go through the tutorial and enter location and settings every few days… it’s sad, because this really was my favorite weather app
Data policy unclear but great app
Mornings always call for a check if Weathertron and it’s basic UI is what I need. Fast, pretty accurate, and lo overhead. If you need to see humidity, radar, etc. other weather apps are loaded with stuff but this is like first getting in car - you check your gas tank. That’s what this app is - essential.
Simple and effective
Doesn’t try to over-do anything. Gives you exactly what you need for the coming week: hour by hour temperature, precipitation, and cloud cover - all in an easy to understand visual format. I’ve also found it to be the most accurate of any weather services I’ve tried. It pulls from multiple weather data sources. We had a wedding a few years ago and a lot of people were worried it was going to rain because most of the “weather.com” types said it would, but Weathertron disagreed and I wasn’t worried about it - lo and behold no rain!
Top Notch!
Years since any updates, but it still works:) Boasts the nicest balance of info and simplicity. Only thing missing from my list is wind speed. Still the best for an at-a-glance, pretty comprehensive idea of today's and tomorrow's weather forecast. (Particularly since IBM scuttled Weather Underground's functionality, and Dark Sky provides consistently inaccurate conditions and today's forecast for my city).
Fixed an issue with the weekly narrative forecast not appearing under iOS 9.
