Works… Sorta
Everything I’ve played around with seems to work. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I have not had any severe weather rising to the occasion of alerts, so I haven’t been able put the app to its paces. But my overall impression is favorable. I could consider paying for one of the upgrades perhaps. I like the links within the app to the NWS SPC. I am really happy with the interface: I can move around easily, and it’s. It too cluttered, and it doesn’t try to be fancy for the sake of being so. However, the weather radio stations closest to me do not come in. The app shows “Connecting,” but it doesn’t connect. The text shows. Many of the other stations come in, but not the ones closest to me. I’d love to give four stars or even five, but I cannot because I cannot connect to a weather station close enough to be to be an effective source of information. If I could connect to my ‘home’ station, I would be more satisfied. The app is by no means a total bust. It’s just not doing the job for which I purchased it.

I will be deleting and requesting a full refund because this app did not function as advertised during a recent severe weather event where I live. All the pertinent settings were set accordingly on both my phone and in the app, yet I received not one watch, warning or advisory pushed to my phone-all 3 of which were issued during the event. I emailed the developer about my complaint and have gotten no response. The weather radio tuner functions fine but I’m guessing most people download the app for the severe weather alerts to be pushed to their device.

This was always my go to app for weather (for years). I felt safe sleeping through the night when bad weather was expected because I could always count on it to wake me up. I no longer get alerts from the app, and if I do they are late/delayed or random. I have tried multiple things and troubleshooting. I have messed with all the settings. It just doesn’t work like it used to.

Purchased yesterday and knew immediately that I wasted my money. From the beginning it would not connect with any weather radio broadcast in my state but would for other states. Also set up to get alerts from 5 different county’s in my state and even though multiple storms have rolled through in the past 12 hours some of which were severe and had publish alerts on all the local media channels I received not one alert! Contacted developers about lack of ability to receive radio broadcasts 30 minutes after downloading app. Have not gotten reply.
