Very Helpful
The content helps my family prepare for storms when it needs to happen.
Unreliable
My area shows “content unavailable” even while we’re under a hurricane warning.
Sadly, an app I can no longer use
This app worked great with smart invert colors. For someone with a visual impairment, like myself, it was a great app. Unfortunately, the latest update has the app no longer working with smart invert colors. The dark mode that was added is no where close to smart invert colors.
You can forget what your local tv says;
The weather animations and cloud cover along with front movements are just about all you need to see what the weather will be the next few hours or days or up to a week. Weather is an interesting science and with these weather maps, you will soon learn to read a weather depiction chart and be your own forecaster.
Ads continue in NOAA Now Pro
Two days ago I upgraded to pro to eliminate ads. The ads continue anyway. The full screen pop-up are particularly annoying. Please refund the upgrade charge. Edit: Turns out the in-app upgrade installed a totally new app in addition to the original free one, which was not within my folder containing weather apps. I had no way of initially knowing this. I stand corrected. The NOAA Now Pro does NOT contain ads.
Bad app
Bought this app based on what was described and it does nothing more than the free app. Don’t waste your time or money on this!
Good but could be improved
Graphics seem to be limited to two, the hurricane path and the wind distribution. Would be improved if app included the full complement of graphics found on the full website. The listings of graphics, summaries, discussions and advisories are all in one long list so if more then one hurricane is being reported on at the same time it gets confusing finding the data you’re wanting for a specific hurricane. Would be improved if data was grouped by hurricane.
Updated satellite sources.
