works well, UI is intuitive
I've only used it on one thing, but it worked flawlessly. I wanted a text version of a multi-page PDF that had no text in it, so I saved several screen shots and converted them all at once. The PDF even contained annoying font changes, and Textify had no trouble with it. I realized after I had done this I could have imported the PDF directly, but the app is so easy to use that I didn't bother reading anything - the first thing I tried worked, so I kept doing it.

This brand new v4 adds the SIRI SHORTCUTS integration, which allows you (for example) to convert PDF files or images to searchable PDF files directly from the Finder. Create your own shortcuts with the actions provided by Textify. v4.2 allows pasting images from anywhere (clipboard, iOS clipboard, screenshots, ...).
