Worst customer service
The level of customer service we’ve encountered with Qatar Airways has been disappointing. Despite the excellent service on board, interactions with ground staff and customer service representatives have been marked by a lack of initiative, problem-solving skills, and professionalism. For instance, during a recent flight from Doha in March 2024, we encountered discrepancies in baggage allowance between our booking through Expedia and Qatar Airways’ system. Despite showing evidence of our 30kg allowance, staff were unhelpful instead on removing 5 kg, directing us to various desks without resolution until a supervisor intervened, albeit reluctantly. Similarly, in December 2023, our experience was marred by long waits at check-in, system errors delaying boarding passes, and rude treatment from Qatar Airways representatives, despite our efforts to arrive early with an infant. Additionally, conflicting information regarding infant travel arrangements further frustrated us, with contradictory advice on car seat usage for our newborn. Suggestions to hold a two-week-old infant for a 16-hour flight were impractical. Overall, while the cabin crew shines, Qatar Airways’ ground staff and customer service need significant improvement in professionalism, attitude and problem-solving skills.

Yes, Qatar does not have a customer lounge in every airport they serve. And parts of the world What American’s think as first class does not exist. I have been please with the secondary airport terminals, but Qatar needs to be vigilante the very best service needs to provided. Overall the Business class is outstanding.

unable to pay using credit card, tried 2 different cards, called the bank, problem is with QA processing the payment information causing time lock resulting in incomplete transfer of information from bank.

Mobile app asks for a one time pass code an update preferences, but once you confirm it does not send a passcode to your mobile and there is no place to enter the passcode. Please test your app. Very disappointed.
