Current layout; there should be a way for at least course ambassadors, but any user really, to mark which layout the course is currently in OB; course maps should be able to have ob shown on them

The free version is all that’s needed to play, and as long as that remains true, it’s 5 stars. The paid version seems to have some nice features and interesting stats though if you’ve got thirty bucks to spare per year, but it’s not necessary at all just to have a scorecard and map when out on the course, along with a list/map of where courses can be found.

Apple Watch app used to work well. Sometime in the last 6-8 months it started closing during play and I would have to reopen it and swipe back one hole to get back on the correct hole. Now, it closes after recording each stroke. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the phone and watch app and it still happens. Watch app is totally unusable now on Apple Watch Series 8

Used to work reasonably well on Apple Watch. Now, it closes back to the watch face after adding each stroke. Sleeves or nothing can be contacting the watch. Do next throw, look back and it’s closed again. Reopen the app and it has you on the next hole. Have to swipe back to the prior hole every time. Finally gave up on the watch today after it led to an invalid hole score and subsequent holes beyond scored on the next hole. Had to go back and fix the last 4 of the front 9 before continuing on. Just scored on the phone after that which was a huge pain

Used this app for a long time until recently when it stopped working without creating an account in the app. This account requirement is a show stopper for me so I must now look for another score keeper. If you’re OK with continuing to give out your data to anyone then you may be fine with it. For me, I’m moving on.

activity rounds! No scores? No problem! Activity rounds are perfect for those times where you just want to get out and play without worrying about birdies and bogeys. And they still count for adding a new course to your collection, keeping your streak, and tracking your exercise - all without having to take your phone out to keep score. Just set up your round and enjoy! When you go to set up your next round, you’ll notice a toggle next to each player where you can choose a scoring round or choose an activity round for anyone on your card. You can also switch from a scoring round to an activity round anytime in the scorecard menu when the score starts to tick up and take away from the joy of disc golf.
