App update
I was having trouble with this app for quite some time, so In hopes of clearing up any problems, I deleted and reloaded the app. To my surprise I saw a notice pop up when I first opened the reloaded app: “Starting on January 27, 2021, the local app will no longer be available. We are always evaluating the best ways for people to discover local events on Facebook, and you will still be able to find events and activities near you in the Facebook app. If you created lists, you can download your information before it’s deleted. All other data will be available in the Facebook app.”

The search feature needs a lot of improvement. This would be a great app if you didn’t have to search for the filter to choose specific days every time you look at it.

Honestly I’ve had this app for a while and have never been able to use it. So. Today I was poking around and realized the reason I don’t use it is because nothing and I mean nothing loads. “Unable to load location” appears when clicking on any and every local establishment I try. And some establishments listed on local are so old and so long out of business I came to the App Store to see if this app was even still active. And to my surprise, it is. Lol. What a joke. Oh well. Just more fakebook junk I don’t mind deleting.

I can see my events on the calendar, and that’s about it. If there’s any discussion on an event page, this app is useless. It won’t show or allow replies to comments.

When you get a notification about something posted in an event the page you click on goes blank. This should be fixed by now, I’ve had this app since it came out and always had this problem.

When opening an event, it's hard to find the important information in the description. Also the posts in events are incomplete and it's very annoying. Any pictures won't show up with the post text so I'm unable to see the set times for example, and I can click the post to open a page that says "Comments" on the top but nothing else shows up so I can't add a comment either. The app at one point was useful for managing my events without having to go through Facebook and get distracted but now it's half useless. At least I can make an event...
