I’m 84 & have foot issues so I love ordering groceries & just picking them up. It extremely helps me!! I hope it is always available!!!
They will steal your money
I am updating my previous review. It has been more than three weeks since I received an order with half the items missing. I requested a refund that very day, but I am yet to see the money refunded to me. I’ve called them 3-4 times, and they said they’d “escalate” my refund request, but I am still waiting. As far as I am concerned, Safeway stole my money. If you haven’t encountered any issues with them, you are lucky, but be careful: they can take your money any time they want. Hey, Safeway, return the money you stole from me!

confusion
The price of any product should be the same for all customers without requiring membership cards, games,apps or any other jumping through hoops foolishness. Most older customers don’t know how to access your ridiculous games or dont want to be bothered with juvenile requirements. Go to the market; buy a product where the best price is offered without silly game playing that only benefits your tracking not the customer ! If you really want to do something unique, advertise a price and forget coupons , digital and other insulting requirements . Its simply common sense bevause it works !
This feels like a bad game
Quit trying to turn saving money on groceries into a scavenger hunt. I hate this app and everything you are doing with it Safeway. I hate having to check the app for every purchase I make to see if I could be saving money. The whole thing is stupid and it makes me want to shop ANYWHERE else.
Unreliable service, buggy app, worst support
Too many issues - bad/expired/soon-to-expire produce, missing/unavailable items, delivery estimates often wrong, have to always remember to “clip” the monthly fresh pass $5 discount otherwise you lose it. 2 no shows in the past 3 months. Once a driver came, didn’t listen to front desk instructions and left instead of trying to contact us - in that case they did redeliver the same day but we had to scramble to be home at the new time. Most recently - no show, no redelivery, ruined our meal plans for the rest of the week. To add insult to injury, they charged us anyway and we’ve had to speak with 8 agents over 3 weeks to get the refund despite being promised the refund would come in 5-7 business days every time. App crashed multiple times during chat and had to reverify and explain our situation every time to a new agent as they couldn’t transfer us back to the same agent nor would they read your case history. Eventually called over the phone. Agents were completely unsympathetic about the fact that they had taken money and failing to refund for something that was not delivered (app knows and shows undelivered order), they think they’re delivering some frivolous product rather than an essential service.
Wish it weren’t so
Never got discounts at.check out. Not sure why. Would love to enjoy savings as am on a very tight budget so find myself shopping elsewhere to know exactly what I am spending. Used to shop Safeway only and buy my gas there,too. Your offers seem fantastic but I just don’t get them at the checkout.
