The Zscaler App for iOS includes both Zscaler Internet Access and Zscaler Private Access modules. Mobility has raised business productivity, but it’s brought its share of issues, as well. One of the biggest challenges is the need to provide complete, consistent security across devices that you may not own. The majority of web traffic from mobile devices comes from apps, not from standard browsers, so threats may not even be visible to traditional security appliances. Note: Zscaler App is used with an active enterprise subscription to Zscaler's Mobile Security service. Please follow instructions from your IT organization to use this app. Zscaler App automatically creates a lightweight HTTP tunnel that connects the user’s endpoint to Zscaler’s cloud security platform with no need for PAC files or authentication cookies. The Zscaler Cloud Service delivers one-step enrollment, with multifactor authentication support via SAML.
Never great, but now unusable
Connecting to a VPN from this app was always a challenge, not so much because of security but because of the buggy way it interacts with the OS, and the inscrutable way in which it decides to actually re-authenticate a login. As of the most recent updates, though, it's become almost completely unusable. It wreaks havoc with wifi connections - disconnecting perfectly usable wifi and throwing my device back to LTE, and then, with internet access gone, refusing to connect to the VPN. It will show as "Connected" but mysteriously not allow any connections, nor prompt to log in. "VPN on demand" does not appear to actually communicate with the app anymore. And there are no error messages to explain anything that's going on. It's garbage. Complete, utter garbage and frustration. What I don't understand is why it's so useless on iOS when the Mac version continues to function perfectly well.
VPN always shows connected
The VPN always shows connected when I disconnect. I have to log out in order to disable it. What’s a better when of doing that?
An Admin’s Perspective
Zscaler is going to get negative reviews, because the people using it are the people it is securing. Security is rarely convenient, but I find the trade off in convenience here to be acceptable. It connects without issue, and speeds are acceptable. Also the ability to configure it via Intune to automate the setup process is *chef’s kiss*
This company should shut down
This company does not know to make appropriate VPN software. It takes hours to comedy to the internet and get authenticated
A styrofoam anchor is more reliable than this app.

Just don’t.
To any company admin thinking you might want to use this to manage your company’s network security, just don’t. There is nothing good about this from an end user perspective. It slows everything down and caused all kinds of dropped connections and lag when you are changing networks because of how long it takes to reconnect.
