Been using Mextures for just about as long as it’s been a thing. My go to for adding just the right amount of what a photo needs to give it whatever aesthetic I’m going for. Best filter layering application out there

I’ve been using this app for about 5 years. It is insanely amazing at editing. But it’s extremely unfortunate that I cannot use it. With every single update it’s gotten worse, now it doesn’t work at all or even open up on my iPhone 14. I need to boot up my old iPhone XS and use it on there (which the app is still very slow and glitchy, but at least works.. eventually) such an absolute bummer that it offers such amazing edits yet within 5 years the creators can’t figure out how to get this app to work properly so we can actually use it. And there’s virtually no support to contact about it.

I loved this app, with its customization and ability to subtly color grade photos. But recently it has been bogged down and unusable. It hangs on up the logo screen, won’t load photos, or just freezes and then crashes. There have been no new packs available for years. It seems as though this has been left to die. It’s a shame, too.

Figured out why the app couldn’t open my photos. I had to grant the app access to “selected photos” in setting since my large photo library overloaded it. So happy to be able to use it again.

When was this last updated? Why the developers refuse to allow editing in Landscape mode is beyond me. I do a ton of editing from my iPad Pros and Mextures would be an ideal app for adding filters while processing images. The lack of a Landscape orientation mode has definitely hindered this. Come on guys, get it to together...Mextures will remain on my 2 iPad Pros with the hopes that this will be resolved, though after 5 years, my optimism is beginning to fade.
