Offline mode
Please fix the issue of a downloaded issue not having pictures once the WiFi is off. This is annoying on the countless times I want to read it on a plane etc. Thank you.
Keeps getting worse
So in the latest release, all my saved articles over the years have disappeared. Plus night/dark mode has disappeared. Exactly what does bug fixes and enhancements mean? Seems you just made things worse.
Renewal
It is an absolute pain. The App Store just says ‘Open’ after renewal date expires. There is no warning and no easy way of renewing; no automatic renewal option through Apple. useless.
Love the content, but app doesn’t refresh
I’ve enjoyed The Week news reports for years in magazine and digital formats, BUT the digital site doesn’t “refresh” the daily update on a regular basis (fails 2-3 times or more a week) and requires either rebooting the iPad or deleting the app and reinstalling it (fastest way). But, deleting the app also means that you have to reset the app if you want to read more than the daily updates in the digital format. VERY FRUSTRATING. And I have contacted them and this appears to be the only “fix”.
Recent changes
I miss the Daily Briefing section. Did you consult your readership on that change or did you make it unilaterally. I also feel that when I started my membership you strived really hard to show equal numbers of views / articles to obviate bias. Over the last 2 years you have shown a preponderance of left wing articles. I would like to see you return to present different views to demonstrate a clear commitment to impartiality.
Fixed something that wasn’t broken
What a shame this app, which was worth three maybe four stars, has been so substantially downgraded and is now worth one star. The overall UX is worse, the UI is worse, navigation is worse, graphics are worse, usability is reduced, screenshots are more difficult, functionality previously working has been removed. What were they thinking?
It went from good to bad
After the most recent update, I’ve lost all my saved articles spanning many years. There used to be a night mode, but that seems to have been taken out. What is the point of the interactive map? It takes 2/3 of the space leaving only 1/3 of the space for the story. This sounds like a bunch of people sitting around a table trying to figure out how to make the app better, and end up making it worse. Why screw around with something that was working perfectly well.
What's new - Daily Editions, delivering morning and evening news digests for digital subscribers - Magazine-style reader as well as full-page article mode - In-app podcast player - Improvements to dark mode - More text size options - Bug fixes and performance improvements.
