Won’t work on iPhone 11 in Canada
Tells me “Sorry - You can’t install this product” used to work on my iPhone 11. Now even freshly downloaded, same error message when I launch it, though it does give me a a BBC splash screen before failing. Disappointing, to say the least.

The new update has completely destroyed it. Personalization features are gone, navigation has become irritating. Will most likely switch to some other app.

BBC, you do not have one positive review since the format change to the app, yet you choose to ignore that. Wow. Do you even check the reviews? Maybe it’s time you check those from the last 6 months. The reviews from your latest update are even worse (unless you count the fake reviews your developers are using to “pad” the stars and cover up this new mess referred to as a news app). I thought the app couldn’t get worse after your late ‘23 update; I was so wrong.

1. The icon color changed and I can’t find app on my phone anymore. 2. There are too many videos, which my shoddy internet connection can’t handle. 3. App was better before revamp. 4. I now know less about world news.

BBC news app is heading into a deep spiral to nowheresville. It has now hit rock bottom, I pray, with the latest iteration looking like the front of an 1980's newspaper! Very innovative…. Immediate Changes Required: 1) Put the app development team out to pasture. 2) Go back and use the same app layout from 2 years ago. 3) Add the ability to swipe left and right to go to the next news item from within the existing news item you are currently reading about. Simple…. Clear… Concise… That’s it!!!!

The new update to the BBC news app is horrible. Navigation is non-intuitive, thumbnails for stories have been removed, and the News aspect of BBC News has taken a back seat to whatever junk the BBC feels like giving first page access. Previously great app ruined by a horrible redesign, a real shame that ruins the world class news reporting of the BBC.
