Over 100 aviation functions, conversions, and utilities, including functions that you won't find in any other E6B. Each function uses the correct scientific formula to ensure accuracy. Other E6B apps rely on rules of thumb that can be up to 10% off. The most comprehensive, accurate, and easiest to use E6B on the App Store. An E6B flight computer is traditionally an analog device resembling a combination slide rule and slide wheel that performs calculations specific to aviation. For example, an E6B can be used to calculate heading and groundspeed after taking into account forecast winds. An E6B is also used to calculate data used for performance planning such as density altitude. Our version goes beyond the analog E6B and even beyond all other E6B apps by including functionality to calculate time, rate and radius of turns, pivotal altitude (great for flight training use), and more.
Nice app.
Includes The function is necessary to plan Flight.
Excellent
I use this all the time, easy to use. It has everything i need in one app.
Calculation problem?
Update: Reply received from the developer. Great to hear from them and no idea why I didn’t receive the original reply they say they sent. This review and reply process is poorly designed (by Apple) … but that’s a separate issue. Updated to 4 stars because it’s a well designed app that is very easy to use and the reply is appreciated. Kudos for that. The issue with no guidelines or instructions provided remains. The vast majority of the functionality in the app is perfectly straight forward. If you can use a real life manual e6b this will be a no brainer. This is faster and usually easier. It’s a pretty good app. But the lack of any user manual makes a couple key calculations either very difficult to verify or too easy to use incorrectly (and receive the wrong output as a result). For the record, I understand the calculations well enough to do them manually with paper and pencil. A user quick guide would likely solve any remaining confusion. Or at least allow verification of accuracy.
Calculation problem?
I have not received a reply to my support request so I’ll post here for now. I have been unable to locate any instructions available. Normally instructions for an app like this are unnecessary as most of the calculations are very simple and easy to follow. But the True Altitude function does not match any other calculation method I have seen and needs a description of terms. What is Altimeter Elevation, for starters? How does it differ from indicated and pressure altitude? The calculations don’t work currently and do not match typical calculation methodology - unless there is something I am missing. But because an instruction manual is unavailable I have no guidance for figuring this out. Can’t really recommend the app currently due to this.
Pop ups
Trying to use this app and every time I back up it asks me to review the app! Brutal. Oh and the review requires a nickname and all have been taken, 6 attempts so far! Seriously
Low work load
Love this app use it on my iPad 10.2. Much faster, and way less workload in cockpit then regular electronic flight computer and way better then spinning the wheel and struggling to read it. So that makes for a safer flight.
Saved me a lot of time!
Love this flight computer. Extremely user friendly and awesome!
