You have to use it in conjunction with the state parks reservation system. What’s great about it is you know the name of the park just by clicking on the icon. It also tells you whether camping is available or not which is what I was looking for. Don’t expect a ton of details. Just the basics to help you on the reserve California website. The map portion was easy to use and can help with planning.
