Waste of money
At least for classical NO LINER NOTES. nothing beyond that which apple gives
Terrible Update Bricks an Awesome App
MusicSmart had been one of my favorite apps and really enhanced my listening pleasure of Apple Music. Then there was an update several weeks ago, and now all I get is the writer and the producer of each song. No longer is there a detailed breakdown of who played what instrument on a song and that’s the main reason I bought this app. Now if I want to know that info, I have to go back to Wikipedia, just like I did before buying this app. Total fail!
No Liner Notes?
Unless I’m having a difficult time navigating the updated app, it seems like all the actual “liner notes” are no longer available. There’s a wealth of information within the app, and it seems pretty well laid out since I was a more regular user, but the liner notes from old vinyl records that I used to be able to access through the app don’t seem to be there anymore. I imagine it could be a licensing thing, but it’s a shame. And if there are no actual liner notes, it makes the app name a bit misleading.
Limited Instrument Data
Many songs that I check do not have the instruments that were played by the band. I thought this would be more comprehensive but I was wrong.
Inconsistent
Great in concept but too often it glitches and delivers only cursory song data. When looking at Genius, I nevertheless see all of the song liner note information. Keep working on it, A for concept and effort…
Really good
This app is amazing!!! I love looking at the album information and the record label the album was released on. The only thing is that the release date on the album is one day off. For example, if the album was released on june 17th 2004, on the app, for some reason it says the release date is june 16th 2004. I wonder is there a way this could be rectified? On all of the albums in the Apple Music library it does the exact same thing. Other than that, I really enjoy using this app!!!
Of little use
App sort of works but has very limed data and therefore of little use. I would like to see the contents of the CD insert but instead only get aonly a few items. Plus it is very awkward to use. Better to scan lthe liner notes and add them to the album artwork.
• Related songs such as samples, interpolations, and others now display their respective artwork. • The track’s artwork, title, and artist are now displayed on the liner notes/credits screen. • Fixed an issue that could cause the keyboard to be shown when tapping on a search result.
