Terrible thermostat do not buy!!!
It does not have a permanent lock setting on temperature setting. It will change your house in the summer set on 71 degrees to 81 degrees without your input. You will come home to a hot house. When you manually turn it back down to 71 degrees it will run for 30 minutes then default back to 81 degrees leaving you with a hot house. Terrible!!!
Won’t stay at desired temperature settings
I want it to stay at 78 degrees and it keeps changing to 79 degrees
Beware. Updates foul the system.
Started out positive. I could voice command lighting and smart plugs. An update has caused all responses to commands to be it not understand, or the device is not set up properly. Yes, I have reset the router and attempted to reconstruct the network. I now have three WiFi access points and six speakers that don’t communicate to each other, and several lights that I have to use the manufacturers app to control. Have unplugged the smart plugs. That is super convenient. Do not recommend.
Hardware has become unreliable
I used to be really impressed with nest products, but last couple of years the hardware has become unreliable.
Want/need HOLD status.
Want/need HOLD status.
Great method to control your HVAC
Love the product
Schedule
I am unclear why Nest insists on creating a temperature schedule for me, and I seemingly have no way of changing it. Extremely irritating. I just want one temperature setting all the time. No changes doesn’t matter what day or what time. Why is that so complicated for Nest? I’m considering removing the thermostat completely.
