DO NOT HIRE PEOPLE FROM HERE! This app is practically a scam! I bought furniture through Wayfair and made the mistake of choosing this third party company to assembly one item, an entertainment center for my bedroom. Not only did I have to reschedule 2 times for a no show and a “problem” a contractor had that prevented them from coming, but also once I finally got a contractor to assemble my entertainment center he told me he needed another tool then left and never came back. He left my house completely filthy with tools and pieces scattered everywhere and no call or response. Never heard from him again. On top of the fact that I went back to check this person’s reviews he had 2.5 stars. Why would they even keep a contractor with such low performance on their platform? Obviously their “pros” have had issues with other clients so I don’t see how they would continue to allow contractors like this on their app. I filed paperwork for a full refund with customer support on March 28th and still have not gotten my money back till this day (writing this on April 15th). I spent almost $100 dollars with Angi only to be told by support that they don’t know where the refund is and that I should fill out more requests. This app and support team are horrible and I highly recommend going through your app’s own assembly services or Thumbtack Home services instead and save yourself the trouble.

Like many others I tried booking a job, the person assigned to the job, was extremely unqualified for the job given to them. I needed my front door replaced. I’m a truck driver and have a very full schedule , so being home for an estimate and then the job itself was difficult. So I thought I’d use Angi, it seemed straightforward enough. And that’s where they get you. They tried to send a cleaning lady for this project, when clearly with the pictures I added and very detailed description of the job, it was way above her expertise. Let alone the size and weight of the door would have been extremely difficult for her to manage without damaging it and the things around it. She figured I had the tools to use, while I why would I let a novice use power tools? So before I had a open hole in my house I cancelled and they still tried charging me. Also you can’t click on the reviews of the people they send you. Just hire someone that has a white pages ad on google. It may seem like it costs more but by skipping this step altogether it actually saves you money. Enter at your own risk. Most positive reviews ended up being a local reputable company that Angi gave a lead to, for a fee of course. This site is probably more suited for cleaning and yard work. Don’t risk your home,sanity and income as it should be criminal to operate in this fashion.

I have met good people on this app that I hire now to clean . It’s crazy Anji charges me $300 and only pays their people $80 . I understand people need to get paid who work for Anji but to only pay the people doing the work 80 out of 300 is insane . Most of the people who have come only charge me 120-80 . I suggest maybe using it until you find a good match for you and your needs then ditch the app and save money.
