Love it!
I have been using Veri for about 3 weeks and really like it. First of all, customer support is amazing. I had an issue with my first CGM, and they responded quickly to help me figure out how to get it solved. They are very responsive, friendly and helpful. Second, I love having this data, because I have learned several things about what affects my blood sugar that was counterintuitive. For example, my blood sugar gets higher in the morning with the same meal than it does, in the evening, which is opposite of what I expected. Also, I’ve learned how exercise impacts my blood sugar, including learning that I should take a walk after every meal to lower the blood sugar sugar impact. I am very healthy, but have a lot of family issues with diabetes, so having this information helps me feel like I have more control over my health and making sure I don’t get diabetes in the future.
Incredibly misleading subscription service
The 3-month app subscription for blood-glucose monitoring only includes 2 sensors which last 2 weeks each. That’s one month of value and then the rest of the time is a huge waste because this app provides no more value than a few webmd articles and a notepad to log your meals. Huge scam.
Check the fine print
This is a sleazy company. I wanted to try it for one month and see if I got anything out of it. I wasn’t a fan but when I tried to cancel they told me I had to pay for 3 more months. I was under a contract. Now I have a not great app that I have to pay $360 for. What a rip off. Just don’t do it. It’s not worth it.
Too much manual inputting
Manually inputting all meals, drinks, snacks is tedious.
Not sure how to use it.
Direct phone support would be nice. As it is, I’m learning on my own with the Libre Link app. I’m not sure what Veri offers or why I wouldn’t just use Libre Link alone. Observing my BG response has been a real game changer in terms of knowing how foods affect me, and helping me make better choices.
Not a fan.
First of all this app is not a one stop shop. You have to download the libre app and scan your CGM from there and then wait for your info to transfer to the veri app. There is no bar code scanner for food or AI photo analysis like nutrisense has. The customer support is terrible. Wish I could get a refund.
Meal score is useless
I’ve been using the app for a week. A few things that make the app confusing is that they have two numbers a glucose variability and oscillation. They both sound the same and the descriptions of each confuses rather than clarifies. Also the meal scoring is subpar. Let’s say I ate something poor and my body is getting rid of the excess glucose but then I eat something good (soon after the first meal) and my glucose is still going down from the first meal, my second meal scores poorly because there was no “stable” glucose response. But the second meal did not cause a spike in my glucose, so in fact it should receive a good meal scoring. I certainly won’t use this app again.
General improvements and bug fixes.
