Beware of AutoRenew
If you follow the Noom program you are likely to see results especially combined with discipline and exercise. It was great for me and in the course of 5-6 months I lost 30lbs. I’ve even managed to keep almost all of the weight off over the winter. My problem is it auto renew kicks in and it’s overly challenging to cancel your plan. I hadn’t opened the app in 7 months and had removed it from my phone and saw I was still being billed (almost $400/year). I reached out and was told there are no refunds which is a little frustrating. I’ve gone back and documented there is no simple ability to unsubscribe and hoping my bank will help. Good service initially but hard to get out of. Rep was unhelpful and simply left the chat.
Slow but steady
Losing weight and learning a lot about caloric density.
It’s not as good as 2018
I did Noom years ago and had great success. I moved, changed jobs and had wild hormonal changes and gained weight. I went back on Noom and it is not the same. Not at all.
Buyer beware
Beware that the company will automatically charge you for another round of its program. You won’t receive notice that they are going to charge you until after they have taken the money from you.
Sketchy Subscriptions
Check the subscriptions religiously. My monthly average was over $100 a month once they started adding all the ‘premium’ services you get a trail for then moves straight fleece mode. Bad customer experience…no refunds whatsoever so be very careful what you sign up for. Sketchy company.
Worthless if you need to make changes
If you need to update your exercise or dietary preferences you are out of luck because you have to wait until it’s time to cancel your subscription. I just started noon. What a waste of money. I have never had so much difficulty navigating a diet app before. I am a heath professional and this is a very user unfriendly app. I chatted with customer service which was useless and a waste of time. I will never recommend to any of my clients again. Save your money and find a good dietician and personal trainer.
Don’t do it!
They take CC numbers (I now believe to sell) but don’t let you actually sign up They promise discount plans that they won’t let you use They take your CC info and then give you no services This appears to be a fake company setup to steal cc numbers
