Terrible app for Vision Impaired Individuals
As the caregiver for my mother who suffers from macular degeneration, navigating through life’s tasks can be challenging enough. However, dealing with kaiser permanent app has been an absolute nightmare. The incompetence of their service app for individuals with vision impairments is beyond disappointing. Setting up an appointment, picking up her medication, ir doctors appointments reminders for my mother should be a straightforward process. Instead, it’s a labyrinth of inaccessible hurdles. The requirement to log into the app and follow prompts is a glaring example of their lack of consideration for those with visual impairments. My mother, who struggles to see even the simplest of tasks, is expected to navigate through a digital maze just to access basic healthcare services. It’s disheartening to witness firsthand how little kaiser permanent values inclusivity and accessibility. Their disregard for the needs of individuals with disabilities is not only frustrating but also unacceptable in today’s society. As a caregiver, I’m deeply dissatisfied with their service and app accessibility. I urge them to prioritize accessibility in their platform. I’ve been having an ongoing back and forth with member services to help me try to resolve an issue to sending messages thru the appt to my son’s pediatrician which is not working. I’m a busy mom, on the go and don’t appreciate having to constantly go into a web browser to do this. They said they submitted a IT ticket but it’s been 2 weeks and I have yet to hear from them
