New app features offer nothing new.
The new version of this app is hot garbage. The whole appeal of the older version of the app was the unique slot machine approach. Good review apps are a dime a dozen and yelp has the game nailed.

This was a pretty cool app, for a while. Then, Zomato bought it, and it tanked. THEN, everything moved to the Zomato app, this app only redirected you to the Zomato app, and it wasn’t as good. Now, the Zomato app only works in India and UAE. Why is this even available on the App Store, now? It hasn’t worked in 4 years?!?

I am definitely an original Urbanspoon user. First downloaded this app back in 2009 on my iPod touch haven’t really used it since but I download it now just to see what they’ve been up to. I really hope my experience is not the same as most people have been reporting on here.

The original UrbanSpoon was awesome! The rating system was far better than Yelp. AppleMaps is getting closer to a similar rating system. And on days like today when you can’t think of what you want to eat, I think of the original UrbanSpoon app and wish there was something out there that could bring up some great suggestions. Go back to the original, and this UrbanSpoon would be doing so much better than it is now

I used to use this all the time to get out of the “what do you want to eat”, “what do you want to eat” back and forth. We let the algorithm take the lead, and if we didn’t like the choice, use the Magic 8 ball slot machine to try again. Guess those old cool apps are just not around anymore. Kind of sad.

Will the owners behind the app look at the reviews? The are almost all the same. Stop being like every other restaurant app. Go back to what urbanspoon used to be before combining with zomato. Bring back the wheel. Can’t decide where to eat? Give this a spin. Bring back restaurant filters by type, price, location, etc. Improve search engine for more accurate results.
