Love it!

I am so thoroughly impressed with Plan to Eat! The app’s interface is easy to use, all of the features work flawlessly, and I even find myself importing recipes that I’ve used several times before, because of the convenience of the Start Cooking function (including your phone not going to sleep constantly mid recipe). Will definitely resubscribe next year!

Overpriced and not great for efficient meal planning

I paid for this app for the last 2 years, and I don’t hate it. It stores recipes and compiles grocery lists based on the exact ingredients of the recipe you assign to the days of the week. It will import recipes from websites too, but that is more than a little buggy. The recipe import often takes multiple tries to work and it doesn’t like fractions (1/4 cup) or apostrophes and will replace these with random symbols. Not the end of the world, except you want $55 PER YEAR for this? It doesn’t even make sense that this is a subscription, let alone such a pricey one. A one time fee of $55 sounds expensive but more in the realm of what it’s actually worth, but every year? The app does not offer new content or features, which would justify a subscription-based fee system. They are charging the same as a digital subscription to the Washington Post… to compile grocery lists. Another thing I don’t love is this style of meal planning. It keeps you in the headspace of needing to plan meals that REQUIRE recipes for each night of the week, which makes it easy to create a lot of food waste and will also jack up your grocery bill. It does not lend itself well to brainstorming meals with ingredients that overlap and use things you already have on hand. If you’re trying to save on groceries and limit food waste, this is not the app for you.

Great app

I love this app. Makes it very easy to add recipes from food blogs and edit recipes. Also, available across multiple devices. So convenient! Previously i was using Pinterest boards to keep track of things. Can’t imagine doing that now. This is so seamless.

Money Saving App

I've been a Plan to Eat subscriber for several years now and love the convenience of the app for looking up recipe ingredients on the go, quickly adding items to my menu or grocery list, and for crossing items off my grocery list as I shop. The app helps me save money by using it to stick to my list!

Now I’m organized

So I got this app based on a recommendation from a friend. I literally use it all the time! Saving time by always having my recipes on hand organized and easy to find. We have lots of food allergies and trying new recipes makes it easy to save the delicious and remove the not favorite ones. I can easily plan out all my meals for the week or month, or just find a quick weeknight substitute. It’s the most convenient meal planning and organization app I’ve found!

Meal planning easy

It makes it easy to store you favorite recipes and organize them. The best is the shopping list for the week.

Made the cooking part of my life much easier!!

I’m grateful for this app. I’m not usually very eager about meal planning or cooking. I kind of have to amp myself up and once I manage to do that, I feel like Martha prepping for a show! This app definitely has helped me with that. I just see a recipe I like, drop it in the app and BOOP! The quantities and ingredients are in there along with all the others I need so I’m not writing it out and taking the risk of forgetting an ingredient. Once I get my list IN my fridge, I just pick what days I will cook and its easy to do because I have it all already. I’m not sure if my ways have anything directly to do with being diagnosed with ADHD, but I recommend Plan to Eat for anyone that struggles with the tasks involved with meal planning and grocery shopping.
