Wow- after YEARS of Caviar being my go to app, i just got disconnected by chat CS THREE times (they tried a 4th but i hit send after every word so they could not pretend they did not know i was typing), while trying to ensure their drivers could see my delivery instructions, which changed after a recent building update. They literally made sure I had my food, sent me $10 (which I told them I already had & to please stop sending!), and then “thanks for using dooddash! Chat Ended” 😳 I’m trying to help their drivers! Don’t they care at all?! Caviar & DD deleted with credits lol that’s how bad it was. PREVIOUS: Double Duty: Texting Delivery Instructions For some reason I consistently have to have a text conversation with my dashers every time, restating what’s already in my delivery instructions, guiding them through the delivery lol not on uber eats, or DD, which makes me suspect that the delivery instructions (which clearly states we have a parking garage with visitor spaces to use) are not displayed clearly for the drivers in the Caviar app. I don’t want to give my money to Uber, but their drivers actually get to my door without a 10 minute conversation.

Ordered tofu pho got steak pho; couldn’t reach the restaurant by phone so asked caviar to resolve the issue. They offered me $5 back for a $50 order and didn’t offer redelivery or a full refund and wouldn’t connect me to the restaurant either. Will never use them again.

Used to use Caviar to find quality food and get great delivery service, now it’s not so much the case. Restaurant postings are just copied from DoorDash, with no additional filter. Had terrible service for a recent order (45 minutes late, no update or help) and customer service was no where to support.

How low can you go? Now both DoorDash AND Caviar ignore your notifications settings and constantly have a badge to indicate their spam. Looks like they’re now in league with Uber Eats and will have their notifications turned off between orders … sad times we live in…
United StatesLive on Caviar lol but Major Issues
I am a heavy Caviar user, however I have had major issues with the app for years and the only troubleshooting is “delete and reinstall the app” which has never resolved any of the issues. I only get a notification when the order is accepted, and after it’s been delivered. None of the other notifications illicit a chime or haptic on my phone or watches (watches all set to prominent and all have been TS extensively). I have seen Caviar in live activities twice total, despite using the app multiple times per week. Otherwise the CS is amazing, and the direct delivery makes Caviar the best in my book. Every time i use DoorDash there’s a problem with my order and a 20m + wait for CS.
