Possible Mint successor…
I want to give 5 stars since I’m rather impressed by the multi currency integration and one-time purchase option that sets Standee apart from the dozen other apps I’ve tried. But it’s not perfect yet either, although the shortcomings seem like easy features to fix (hopefully the developers are listening). In the search for a Mint replacement it’s a toss up with apps like Buddy Budget (great iPad App and nice subcategories), PocketGuard (good refresh, transaction rules and split transactions) Piere (does almost all the Cons listed below) and Wallet by Budget Bakers (all the same Pros as Spendee, but cannot link with all my accounts, so I’m giving Spendee a chance!) I appreciate Spendee's help center that answered some of my questions but there are still a few things that I can’t do in the Spendee App that seem like obvious features (I contacted support they were prompt in acknowledging my feedback): Things I love: - Multi Currency account integration (like Wise) - manual transactions even in multiple currencies(!) - Lifetime purchase (1/2 off right now) - shared with other user for manual entries (but this should include sharing the budget too) Things that don’t work: - rollover budgeting from month to month categories (at least from my initial test) - no sub-categories! Really? I know I can label, and the labels are sortable within each category in the overview graphs (but attaching labels is a multi step process more so than a subcategory feature) - no split transactions? - no iPad oriented App (the iPhone App does not work well on an iPad) - no Mint import, or any import to a linked account! - no reoccurring transactions in linked accounts (only manual), but the largest immediate drawback is the slow refresh for some accounts. The “refresh” button on the wallet says that it has been refreshed but it’s deceptive because some accounts can only update once a day and to get a manual refresh you have to go in the account settings and manually relink the bank! That is NOT a viable option. I might as well just open every one of my banking Apps to see the amounts - which defeats the purpose of a tracking App. Other Apps don’t have this limitation so Spendee really needs to figure it out.

I’ve been using this app more than 1 year but at once it stopped to sync my 2 main bank accounts. As I was very loyal to company because I really liked but over month of talking with support team they didn’t solve my issue. Only one solution- to make new connection and categorized all my transactions for whole year from the beginning. I’m disappointed! Even worse they suggested me to merge my old wallet with recent added wallet, I did it and as result I lost access to old wallet and all my categorized transactions. Trying to ask about new solution of new problem, they just closed my case and have not replied for 5 days. How is it possible? Such approach and app doesn’t have to be placed at the store. You can’t trust them your data.

I would give it 5 starts, but since I’ve downloaded the app it has trouble adding other accounts like e-wallets and bank accounts. So I have to take note of my cards expenses to keep updated my finances.
